Meet our wonderful staff
Alongside Colin we have a dedicated and caring team who are all appropriately qualified to provide childcare. All staff members have enhanced DBS certificates, are trained in safeguarding and qualified paediatric first aiders.
I have been the manager here at Smarden Pre School since September 2013.
I qualified in childcare in 2002 and gained a management qualification in 2015. I am also the lead safeguarding officer and SEND co-ordinator for the setting.
In my free time I enjoy sewing and making clothes for my daughter, Rosie. I also like to swim. I have two cats, Beauty and Ruby and two guinea pigs, Truffles and Norman.
I started at Smarden Pre School in May 2007, stepping into the role of Deputy Manager in 2014. I qualified to a Level 5 in childcare in 2013. Along with Katie, I am a safeguarding officer and qualified SEND practitioner for the setting.
I have two daughters, Lauren and Chloe. In my free time I enjoy walking our dog, Luna and family holidays to Cornwall and Wales.
I have been at Smarden Pre School since September 2002. I achieved my Level 3 qualification in childcare in 2009.
I have five children and three cats! My favourite things to do include, socialising with my friends, reading and shopping – I love anything that sparkles!
I achieved my Level 3 qualification in childcare in 2009.
I joined Smarden Pre School in June 2015. I completed my Level 2 in childcare in 2017 and look forward to completing my Level 3 in 2019.
I have one daughter, a dog and some fish. I love to bake and decorate cakes; other hobbies include photography and bell ringing.
I joined Smarden Pre School in April 2017 and am working towards my level 3 in childcare which I am due to complete in 2019.
I have a daughter called Willoe who used to attend the setting and so I know just what it is like to be a preschool parent. In my free time I like going on adventures with Willoe and my friends!
I have worked at Smarden Pre School since April 2017. I am looking forward to completing my Level 3 in childcare in 2019.
I have three children. I enjoy playing netball and going to the cinema but most of all spending quality time with my family.
I have volunteered here at Smarden Pre School since 2006 and enjoy spending Friday mornings with the children. I have lived in Smarden for thirty years, so I may well remember some parents from their preschool days!
I have three children of my own, one of whom lives in Sydney and so I enjoy visiting Australia as often as I can. I have four lovely grandchildren. In my spare time, I enjoy pilates and singing.
